Privacy Policy
Who we are
DAWG (thedawgnetwork.co.uk) is a trading name of Ethan Readman, a sole trader, of 33 Pennine Crescent. We are the controller of your personal data. Contact us at [email protected].
What we collect and why
- Enquiries and bookings (by email, Instagram DM or WhatsApp): your name, contact details and what you tell us about your project. We use this to reply and, if you go ahead, to provide our services. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and performance of a contract.
- Client gallery accounts (our PicPeak gallery system, on the gallery.thedawgnetwork.co.uk subdomain): your name, email address, login details and the galleries and files we deliver to you. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- Payments and records: payments are taken through OwnPay, which uses Stripe to process cards, on a separate subdomain of this site. Stripe handles your card details directly; we do not see or store them. We keep invoices and payment records. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
- Server logs: our web server may record your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and fault-finding. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in keeping the site secure.
- Photos and video of people: where we photograph or film at events or sessions, we handle that material for the purpose agreed with the client.
This website has no contact form, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers needed to run our business (for example Stripe as our payment processor, messaging providers such as Meta for Instagram and WhatsApp, and accountants) and where the law requires. Our web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when you view our pages.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: 12 months.
- Gallery files: at least 4 weeks after delivery, or for as long as agreed under an Archive Agreement.
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as needed to meet tax record-keeping requirements, and no longer than 6 years.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your data, object to our use of it, and request a copy in a portable format. Email us to make a request; we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
